Sorry Lesley
This is the website for the Anglican Church. They are both called St Mary's.

Dear Colin
The church records are no longer kept at the church. They are with the County Archive Office in Whitehaven. I have checked on the Ancestry site however and Mary Anne Corkhill and Thomas Haffie are both listed in Volume 10b Page 1007 for the period you mention. The vicar at that time had the surname Curwen.
The website for the records office can be found at:-http://www.cumbria.gov.uk/archives/recordoffices/whrec.asp.
Hope that this is helpful.

I was wondering if anyone could tell me if this is the church that my Great Grandparents were married in. His name was Thomas Haffie and her name was Mary Ann Corkhill. They were married June 09 1892 by Rev. A.F. Curen or Curun. Unsure of the spelling sorry. Thomas was from Frizington and she was from Harrington as far as I can see. Thanks in advance

Just found your lovely website. Can anyone help me please? My Great Grandfather Robert Tinkler died in Harrington in 1909 at Williamson Street. Does anyone know if this street still exists and also where have the headstones gone?
